underground storage tank is a composite tank that gives you the
high structural strength and complete product compatibility of
steel together with the superior corrosion protection of a
thick fiberglass laminate exterior. ACT-100® composite
tanks do not require corrosion monitoring. Years of
successful service have proven that the composite technology
prevents corrosion as well as any fiberglass tank while
providing the structural strength that only steel can offer. |
The combination of the fiberglass laminate and dielectric bushings seals off the UL58 steel tank from the corrosive elements in the surrounding soil. The scratch resistant 100 mil thick fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) laminate bonded to the outer tank wall offers additional protection against corrosion. Interior corrosion resistance is provided by Anodic wear plates. The ACT-100® UST is available in single or double-wall steel construction. The double-wall construction includes a monitoring column which allows use of any of a number of monitoring methods and are delivered with a vacuum on the interstice eliminating the need for any pre-installation tightness test. Meeting STI and UL's stringent quality standards, ACT-100® UST features a 30-year limited warranty and $1 million pollution and products liability coverage. |
